Kayleigh's Wee Stars
Kayleigh's Wee Stars is a local charity established in 2012 by Jonathan and Anna Cordiner after losing their 2 year old daughter Kayleigh to a terminal illness. With a desire to help other families, the charity was set up to offer support to families caring for a terminally ill child.
Our funds help families, many of whom have to give up work, to cover essential living costs and other expenses associated with caring for their child, such as travel to hospital and hospices or childcare for siblings. Additionally our funds are used to purchase specialist equipment or to allow home modifications to ensure the child can stay at home for their final weeks or months and be safe and comfortable. We also fund short breaks for families to spend some last precious time together. Kayleigh's Wee Stars is there to ensure no family caring for a terminally ill child should have to worry about money.

MCR Pathways
The MCR Charity was established in 2007 to support young people, including those who are
care-experienced, or have experienced disadvantage, to help them realise their full potential through education.
Our aim is to help young people unlock their potential, no matter their circumstances. Working together with our inspiring mentor community and partners,
we can help young people to realise their skills and progress onto a positive destination. Our vision is for all young people to experience an equality of education
outcomes, career opportunities and life chances.
At the core of the MCR Pathways programme is one to one relationship-based mentoring focused on building confidence, belief and self-esteem. Our volunteer
mentors spend an hour each week listening to and encouraging a young person in
their school.

Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by illness, poverty, neglect or have additional support needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
We work with local grassroots organisations across the region that aim to make a difference to young
