Jeff and Lauren have helped to reveal the person who will lead the 2018 Celebrate Aberdeen parade along Union Street.

Marion Douglas has been selected to lead the parade along Union Street. She'll carry with her the Celebrate Aberdeen flag marking the beginning of a weekend of live music and entertainment across the city of Aberdeen.

Marion works tirelessly within her community and has recently undertaken 70 challenges to mark her 70th birthday, incredible!

The Celebrate Aberdeen parade will take place along Union Street on Saturday, August 25th. 

More than 150 organisations took part in the celebratory parade last year.

The parade was first held in 2011 and has brought together more than 3,500 people from 130 diverse third sector organisations for each event in recent years.
