In this category, we are looking for an individual who has gone the extra mile in their contribution to the third sector - whether through volunteering, fundraising, or both - and who deserves special recognition for their outstanding dedication and impact.
General Entry Criteria
- Entry is open to those who volunteer for third sector organisations including charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups.
- Entries can be self-submitted or provided by a third party.
- The focus of the entry should be on activities carried out within the entry period, April 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2026.
- This year (2025/2026) you will only be able to apply for a max of THREE award categories. Please note, you will need to fill in an application for each specific category.
- Entries will be judged by a carefully selected, independent panel.
- Three organisations/individuals will be shortlisted in each category.
- All finalists will be invited to an informal interview to discuss their application in more detail with the judges. We strongly recommend that the person the application is about attends the interview, as our judges love meeting the individuals they've read about.
- Finalists will be invited to the Celebrate Aberdeen Awards dinner at The Chester Hotel on Saturday, October 31st 2026.

Please note FIVE members of each charity/organisation or individual will be able to attend the event at no cost to themselves. The event costs will be covered by financial support from the Aberdeen business community.

Key Dates
Applications will close on Monday, August 17th 2026 at 5pm. All information should be received by this date to allow us to collate it all and share it with our judges.
Finalists will be announced on Wednesday, September 16th 2026.
Interviews to be undertaken on Tuesday, October 6th and Wednesday, October 7th, 2025 at The Chester Hotel, specific times, TBC, if entering please make yourself available for these dates, unfortunately due to Judges commitments, we are unable to move the judging times and dates.
Winners will then be announced at the awards event at The Chester Hotel on Saturday, October 31st 2026.
